Define “Virtual”… 🤔

The Setup

Layout

Monitor scale comparison showing 3 virtual reality screens ranging from 8feet (2.4m) to 25 feet (7.6m) in size. A 6 foot (1.8m) scale figure stands next to a desk showing a traditional multi-monitor display with a pair of 2.5 foot (0.8m) LCD panels
It’s all about scale
It’s not all the eye can see; but it’s more than all the eye can use.
A legless chair sits on the floor, a raised keyboard tray immediately in front of it, and a large mug and straw off to one side.

Standing configuration
A mostly empty tile floor, a small amount of computer equipment up against one wall, the other wall an array of bookshelves.
Not a single visible display in the entire office

The Experience

A large screen is divided into 5 columns filled with syntax-highlighted code. A smaller screen in front shows a browser, Slack, calendar, and security camera footage.
Entire libraries at a glance
A large screen showing code takes up the left half of the picture, the right half shows topiaries along a marble wall and plaza. Beyond the wall, sunset clouds fade upward into night sky.
