How Teams Are Working Together in VR to Avoid Coronavirus

What’s the deal with Coronavirus?

The CDC is responding to an outbreak of respiratory disease caused by a new coronavirus that was first detected in China which has now been detected in more than 100 locations internationally, including in the U.S.

On January 31, 2020, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex M. Azar II declared a public health emergency (PHE) for the United States to aid the nation’s healthcare community in responding to COVID-19.
On March 11, 2020 WHO publicly characterized COVID-19 as a pandemic.

On March 13, 2020, President Donald Trump declared the COVID-19 outbreak as a National Emergency.

How has this affected businesses?

Stock prices have plummeted. Companies all around the world have canceled their conferences (Facebook F8, Google I/O, Apple WWDC, SaaStr, SXSW, etc.), and many more thousands of companies have asked their employees to work from home indefinitely.

People all around the world have turned to Immersed in order to work effectively with their co-workers in VR, since chat and video conferencing just isn’t the same as working together in-person.

As companies are shutting down their international travel in hopes to prevent Coronavirus from spreading, they have had no choice but to figure out remote work solutions for all of their employees, lest their collective productivity and overall businesses tank.
